Knive is well balanced, long enough to slice a sourdough boule, sharp, and the Damascus blade is very attractive. I purchased this on sale and it was quite a bargain. I love this knife so far.
This knife is sharp! A good deal for the money. I have stopped using my other two knives because this one cuts so much better. It is worth buying.
This knife is too good to be true. Surely it cannot be Damascus steel and Japanese VG-10 at this price ??? Nevertheless, it has impressed me in my first 2 months of use. Slicing vegetables and meat is effortless - I feel like a power chef when I cut so easily through meat - even tough vegetables like carrot are a breeze. Honestly it is so sharp that I nearly sliced off a tiny piece of the tip of my finger.The balance and weight are amazing! It feels very light but has enough weight to power through whatever I am cutting. The balance is the best of any knife I've owned; I can balance the knife on my finger tip at the point just beyond the handle - in the curve where the thin handle transfers to the thick blade - awesome !!
